The latest layoffs from companies such as Tesla, Apple and Google, along with other disclosures, have helped to shove the total number of officially disclosed layoffs past the grim milestone of 40,000 for the first time in the Bay Area.
The city of San Jose is looking to AI to make its City Council meetings more accessible to residents, regardless of the language they speak or prefer.
The majority of that sum was for in-car video cameras and related equipment, according to the State Contracting and Procurement Registration System.

Menifee also is home to one of nine U.S. Department of Energy pilot projects creating “microgrids” in new residential areas.
