M Corp Partner Chuck Czajkowski discusses a project to modernize Employment Development Department legacy databases into a new system. Last November, the firm completed the task of consolidating 10 databases and converting 4 billion rows of disability and unemployment benefits data for EDD. Unemployment and disability insurance claims records of more than 18 million people were moved to a newly designed, single database. The project began in June 2009.
